Stalin was a militant and an atheist. Not a militant atheist.

am i missing the point of cherry picked images? i should hope that i am.

i any case, atheism is a disbelief in god. you can’t have a militant disbelief in god, so militant atheist is anti-theism. Stalin was an anti-theist and killed millions because of those beliefs.

I’m anti-theist. Does this mean I’m going to kill millions? No. People do not kill people in the name of atheism or anti-theism. Stalin was a militant communist. He was a power-hungry freak like many other men in history.

People DO, however, KILL in the name of religion! And what’s worse, this harmful disgrace called religion is placed on a pedestal and we’ve got apologetic idiots trying to justify the horrific brutality found in their holy book. Religion will never go away as long as people continue to make excuses for it to continue to exist. It is obsolete. Nobody needs it.

Anyway, the point of this image is that if you talk about militant Christians or Muslims, people think of extremists. If you talk about “militant” atheists, people think of a few dudes who have their own opinions about an institution full of such violence. And yet it is the atheists that receive the most scorn.

It’s fucking ridiculous.
